About the role

As a Made to Engage Project / Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership and direction to the project teams and will take full ownership for the development of project scope and implementation, you will bring a creative and analytical approach to problem-solving with a solid background in a web development environment. Comfortable working in an agency environment, you will also have excellent organisational and communication skills, initiative, and ability to work unsupervised within the team.

The primary responsibility is the delivery of projects within agreed budget and time constraints and the ability to look ahead and recognise factors which may impact on the business and prepare contingency plans.


Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the wider team to ensure that detailed development task lists are produced with clearly defined interdependencies
  • Creation and maintenance of project plans
  • The establishment, daily maintenance, tracking and weekly reporting of budgets against actual costs
  • Providing strong leadership and direction to the project teams and taking ownership for the development of project scope and implementation
  • Day to day delivery management of creative and technical team deliverables
  • Resource planning, development planning, project tracking and task assignment
  • Assist in the production of technical scope and specifications
  • Participating in architecture, design and code reviews
  • Managing the release cycle, release process and assisting Quality Assurance, ensuring proper standards in work delivered
  • Maintenance of status reports
  • Accurate timesheet completion
  • Raising of costs, purchase orders, estimates and invoices where appropriate
  • Ensure the maintenance of an issue, risk and change register
  • Follow up tasks and actions with relevant people to ensure that milestones are met
  • Maintenance of project filing system and the filing of project documents
  • The simultaneous management of large, complex projects and smaller tasks, requiring input from a number of distributors
  • The identification of innovation and change, including improvement templates and processes
  • To effectively plan for and manage change


Essential Criteria

  • Proven track record in facilitating the delivery of high-quality releases
  • A proven track record in working with large programmes of work and experience of involvement in complex projects, from project initiation through to implementation
  • Ability to communicate at a technical and non-technical level
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • High-level understanding of software development processes
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive and pragmatic problem solver and 'Can Do' attitude
  • Previous experience within a development and creative environment
  • Experience in the documentation of projects and technical writing
  • Web development exposure (both front and back end) with a high-level understanding of software development processes
  • University degree in Computer Science / New Media / Mathematics / Engineering / Project Management or equivalent
  • A passion for Agile with experience with one or more Agile frameworks
  • Ability to take a technical project through from conception to completion
  • Ability to cope with conflicting demands and to prioritise tasks
  • The ability to work independently with high levels of energy and a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong time management and self-organisational skills
  • The ability to contribute as part of a team
  • The ability to develop effective working relationships
  • A willingness to change priorities and plans to meet new circumstances
